The Band:

Emiliano Pari : Keyboards, vocalist, composer.
He was born in 1973 and he graduated in modern and jazz piano at the University of music in Rome. He played many gigs in the most important venues all around the world for Funk, Soul, R&B artists and bands..in those genres he is considered one of the best Italians exponents
He is part of the Blind Faith Record since 2015.The BLF Records is an independent label formed by a collective of talented musicians, arrangers and composers working with the same attitude and spirit of the pioneer labels of the early ’60s until the late ’70s. In recent years he had the pleasure to play beside the historic vocalist of Maceo Parker and James Brown, the great Diva of Soul Martha High. One of the most interesting international collaborations is the one with Tony Momrelle(actual lead voice of Incognito), one of the most significant and exciting soulful singer of the UK, Emiliano is part of his band since 2014. Together with Tony Momrelle he opened 2016 U.K. tour for the legendary band: “Earth Wind and fire”. The Recent collaboration with “Funky Juice records“ led by the producer, Rob Colella is giving him some good satisfaction, spacing from 70’funk to modern soul-pop. He is touring since many years all the best international music festivals like “Lugano Festival”, “Java Jazz Festival”, “Igor Butman jazz Moscow festival”, “London Jazz Festival” and important Venues like Barbican Theatre (London),Koko (London ), North sea jazz club (Amsterdam), Atrane (Berlin) Arena 02 (London ) …and many others.

Pierluigi Masciarelli: Guitars
Guitarist, producer, composer, is one of the leading “voices” of Italian Jazz-Funk, with his own recognizable sound. He is also known for his work as producer and guitarist in the 1990s acid jazz group named Babyra Soul”.He also played live in Italy and in Europe with Gabin, Martha High, Jovanotti, Romina Johnson, Orlando Johnson, Jimmy Z and many others. He is also recorded and produced the first record of the Funk Jazz trio – Soul Jazz unit and his first cd under his name called Bebop Dance for Irma records.

Alex de Martino: Drums
Born in Rome September 23d 1968. Begins playing the drums at age 9 at Rosemont Elementary School. The next year, after his return to Italy he attends the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio with teacher Mario Paliano.
During his middle school years he meets Matthew Garrison with whom he starts a long and lasting collaboration through high school and College where they both attend Berklee College of Music after which Alex moves to London and then NY to enrich his musical experience. In 2002 returns permanently to Italy and is co-founder of the label Social Beat Records in 2009 is co-founder of the music school Centro Musica vdp where he currently teaches to children and adults, as well as teaching at Ass cult Musica e Arte. 2004 is co-founder of the band Funkallisto with whom he has recorded 5 CDs. The new release Saturday Night Dogs is receiving great reviews and international air-play (four stars from All About Jazz US) records with: Jimmy Gimelli, Chelsea Como, CorVeleno, Randy Roberts, LilGizelle. In the last 3 years he records over 100 drum tracks for the artists Baba Sissoko and Martha High.

Oumy N’dyae: Vocals
Oumy is an Italian and half Senegalese singer. She has always been passionate about music and art, in fact since she was six she attended the “Enrico Cecchetti” acting and dance school. When his brother Ibrahima starts playing the guitar, they immediately start singing and writing their own pieces together. In 2009 they form NIO and participate for two consecutive years at the “Ferrara Buskers Festival”, winning the “Voci del Mediterraneo” contest and the “Sottosuolo spring festival” competition, which allows them to participate in the European Music Festival in Perugia, where they open up the concerts to Mama Marjas, Nidi D’arac and Funky Pushertz. The following year they attend the clinics in Umbria-jazz and get the certificate of merit.They have a concert activity in various clubs in Umbria, Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Lazio. In the Marche they have the opportunity to open up to the Bisca and the 99 posse. Recently the group “Oumy soul project” was formed and they recorded live four new soul classics at the world music studios in Milan. In addition Oumy is working on his unpublished pieces together with the drummer Luca Masotti.

Patrizio Sacco: Electric Bass
Extremely well skilled musician, he is a strong performer, accustomed to playing both live and in studio. He has achieved great experience playing in Italy and on tour around the world. Patrizio is a very dedicated person, who loves traveling and socialising. He is extremely flexible and eager to co operate with his fellow musicians.Bass playing is his passion since age 14. Certificate of Merit in II° electric bass course at “SAINT LOUIS Music Academy” – Roma Diploma at the “Universita’ della Musica” (UM) of Rome with teachers Massimo Moriconi, Luca Pirozzi and Gianfranco Gullotto Perfecting through private studies with Dario Deidda. From 2006 started studying Double Bass Since 2012 bass player for the Italian band “Il Volo”, participating in the “We Are Love Tour 2013”, achieving numerous sold outs, including at the Radio City Hall in New York, at the Gibson Amphitheatre in L.A., and at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The tour was throughout the United States and countries such as Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Chile.Participation in the recording of “Il Volo” ’s live concert in Verona for Rai1. Played with the great american harmonica player: Jimmy Zavala, in quite a few blues festivals in eastern Europe, amongst countries like Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia. In 2006 worked in the lyrical-pop project “Appassionante”, performances with the Kiel Philarmonic Orchestra and the Berliner Sinfonie Orkester in several cities, like: Moscow, Stuttgart, Berlin and Kiel. In 1993 achieved second position at the contest for young musicians “ROCK CULTURA” and represented Italy at the INTERNATIONAL SPRING Festival in North Korea.
Performances with various artists, amongst them: Il Volo, Pino Daniele, Fabio Concato, Sergio Caputo, Claudio Baglioni, Simone Cristicchi, Coolio, Mario Venuti, Renzo Arbore, Audio 2, Jimmy Z, Frankie HI-NRG, Gazebo, Alberto Fortis, Monica Hill, Teresa De Sio, Ivan Segreto.

Neney Santos: Percussions
he is one of the most brilliant Brazilian percussionists in Italy. He can boast an exceptional portfolio of collaborations with artists such as Peter Gabriel, Michael Jackson, Olodum, Caetano Veloso. In Italy, thanks to his extraordinary percussive arrangements, to the live performances and to the great rhythmic energy, he has collaborated in the musical tours of: Alex Britti, Jovanotti, Mario Venuti. Neney is mainly inspired by Afro-Axè, a musical genre tipical of Salvador De Bahia where it has its roots, its music and a powerful mix of funk, pop, afrosamba, bossa-nova and jazz.
