They are an ensemble of all women, who are carrying out their project with stubbornness, determination and a lot of passion. In this world unfortunately too often led only by men. Let’s get deep into the heart of the description of the work and where the inspiration for the individual sound episodes comes from. All connected by a coherent and uniform narrative thread, but with coinfluences and transversal trends that touch on various profound and poetic aspects of the fluctuations of the soul.

“Frozen”: A cover of Madonna’s famous track, rearranged experimentally for a string quartet and vocals.

“My little angel”: A song with a joyful yet intimate character, narrating the inner struggle of a daughter who, upon leaving to build her own life, reflects on her father’s last sweet words. Strings counterpoint and gently accompany the protagonist in her thoughts, leading to an energetic instrumental surge that concludes in a duet, where father and daughter merge into a single entity.

“Reminiscence”: A song with a peremptory and solemn character, distinguished by enveloping vocal polyphony. The protagonist questions if there’s another chance in a consumerist world corrupting and consuming her. The relentless homorhythmic bow strokes of the strings leave no respite for the protagonist as she escapes from earthly materialism.

“The measure of debt”: A song with a bittersweet and fatalistic character, recounting the painful redemption of a woman blind to where her selfishness was leading. The strings, with their measured pace, symbolize the limited time the woman has left to repent, modulating between major and minor keys during her inner conflict.

“Wait for tomorrow”: A heartfelt and poignant song where the protagonist cries out to humanity, exposing a society seemingly connected yet profoundly lonely and divided. In the finale, the strings energetically intertwine with the voice, supporting her appeal for a collective awakening.

SWEET DREAMS: The synthetic sounds of the base substituted by the deep and scratchy sound of the bows sostains the famous melody that we all know. The principal theme is almost circular, in fact, it is a piece that could go on forever leaving us suspended in this roundabout of the bass melody that with the violoncello and the viola, sounds more gothic than the original. We like to imagine that we have also dedicated our art to the dance hall!

“By the way”: A romantic and moving song telling of a passionate love story that unexpectedly blooms stronger than ever after years of separation. The detached arpeggios of the two violins give the piece notable movement, embodying the lightness the protagonist feels upon the return of her beloved.

“Days of fire”: A nostalgic and evocative instrumental piece where strings alternate between contrapuntal passages and homorhythmic moments, celebrating and remembering the glories of days gone by. An Albertine figuration exchanged between instruments recurs as a “leitmotiv”, contrasting and blending with the extreme lyricism of the main theme.

“Arcane nature”: An instrumental piece with a bucolic and dreamy character, where strings venture into green and unexplored territories untouched by humans. Nature awakens in all its charm, accompanied by onomatopoeic orchestral percussion. Tremolos and pizzicatos give the piece a refined and lively sound.

“Beautiful storm”: A dynamic and tempestuous instrumental piece exploring high registers and bold harmonies. The rich and varied sonic palette includes tremolos, pizzicatos, bold bow strokes, and florid figurations, portraying a “beautiful storm” in all its impetuosity, reminiscent of the Romanticism’s “sturm und drang.”

IN YOUR MIND: The strings pursue on urging an impulse rythmally complex but in reality it flowers in a song that is expressive and ariose. While the second violin outstands for it’s complexity with rhythmic and repeatable scales, a marked and energetic counterpoint reminds us of a race without a stop towards a destination that remains unknown!Like the title declares, everything is in our minds and in the execution of this piece every member of the quartet has her own imagination to follow and rich!

INFINITY: This piece of music has, like a wave, the characteristic of repeating itself bringing with it the movement of the strings. At first the theme is expressed with clarity and then it is swept up by the 4 instruments and taken to a wholeness that involves us.

The  Pizzicato is a further  reconfirmation of how varied a theme can be if expressed by  these instruments. We loved the challenge to find and always change a different taste to this thematic recurrence.

IF YOU WANT IT TOO: String Quartet and Voice – A pop-cinematic piece with an epic and dramatic atmosphere at the same time: a mixture made possible by the omnipresent repeated -ostinato of the strings, in contrast with a very large main theme that can be sung on the voice. The text evokes ancient and lost emotions of a now divided pair of lovers, in the light of the new maturity acquired in adulthood: thus emerges the touching desire for a new story together, no longer fueled by only the passionate youthful instinct but by the real awareness of what it really means loving another person.

LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SUN: In our opinion this piece is the most amazing and pleasing of the record!

The strings that distinctly imitate a tango, accompany a voice that in a captive tone invites you towards this dance. The text on the other hand, brings a deep message of social criticism, that declaring by sweet almost inspired notes, that the body has become more important than the soul. The high accent of the strings and short internal “Glissando” understate the sensuality of the rhythm that remains irresistible.

PARALLEL UNIVERSE: String Quartet – Composition with a sidereal flavor, constantly poised between major and minor keys. The accounting of the theme, combined with the pizzicati first and then the accompanying quatrains, generates a counterpoint effect of a classicist matrix. In the finale, the minor chord with the ninth suspended in the song reveals a last momentum towards a horizon that will never be reached, abandoning the listener to the incomprehensible and boundless charm of the deep universe.

IN YOUR MIND (Naked Version): The strings pursue on urging an impulse rythmally complex but in reality it flowers in a song that is expressive and ariose.
