BUNGALOVE
Samba Natural

The new album published by Funky Juice Records, is a project that has its roots in bossanova and Brazilian beat. Presented by Marco Ricci and Mishael Levron, creators of BungaLove, Samba Natural offers a new sound where traditions and new musical trends mix through soft electronic sounds. The album features multiple influences and different styles that contribute to composing a new and fresh atmosphere; tracks like “Aphrodisiaco” and “A Groovy Day”, strongly characterized by styles such as Soul and Funky the chill-out sound, mix with calm and sweet ballads like “Bem Devagar”, “Depois” and “Dreaming Olinda”, to then move on to light samba-bossa like “So Eu e Voce”, “Maracanà”, “Samba Natural” and others.

Songs of varied nature, but which all unmistakably present the artistic-musical direction of Marco Ricci’s arrangements.

The album title was borrowed from track number 7, composed by Mishael Levron with lyrics by Dan Wiesenfeld, a lively and fun samba based on a blues structure with Brazilian harmonic variations. The song Maracanà was the first to be published on several international compilations and is the most distinctive song in terms of style and tempo of BungaLove. Sung by Sandy

Gasperoni (aka Sandy Muller) with the participation of Pedro Scassa on the flute, represents, together with “So Eu e Voce”, the “Greatest Hits” of Bungalove.

After Sandy’s departure for Brazil, a new voice is introduced into the group, Dalia Mattioni, who had already collaborated with Mishael in multiple musical projects, and new songs – such as “Depoise “Balao” – and “Dreaming Olinda”.
“Aphrodisiaco”, “A groovy Day” and “Saturday Song” are the only instrumental tracks on the album, composed by Marco and Mishael, they are the testimony of the various tendencies of BungaLove, such as Middle Eastern, (Saturday Song) soul, Funky and of course… Samba.

Many musician friends collaborate on this album: Simone Haggiag on percussion, Carlo Conti on Sax, bassists Stefano Nunzi and Lucio Fasino, as well as the faithful Pedro Scassa on flute. BungaLove are currently preparing their Live set that will feature Mishael on guitars, Marco on keyboards and computer, Dalia on vocals, Pedro on flute, and the new “acquisitions” Matteo Pezzolet on bass and Neto Salis on percussion.
