Na Praia Ao Luar
Panaphonic feat. Clara Simonoviez

Every track of the PANAPHONIC project is a sensory journey: the soft chords of the guitars, the light percussions and the sound carpets of vintage keyboards blend perfectly with Clara’s voice, evoking images of tropical beaches and terraces overlooking the sea. The author’s touching words immerse us in a world of profound human relationships: the unexpected arrival of a loved one is compared to the purity of a pearl and the lightness of air, bringing a song of peace and love into a suffering heart.

The PANAPHONIC project was born some years ago as a result of the Rob Colella’s playroom. He is also a member of the famous “Barrio Jazz Gang” duo, together with Stefano Micarellli. In this project, Rob brings together musical elements from around the planet and mixes them together, forming a unique fusion of music entitled PANAPHONIC, which really translates in looking into music through a large panoramic view of sounds. He wants people to explore his work and get in a new dimension of experience. The water streams, the trees, the meadows, and both and wild animals are such an inspiration that they create a full blown colourful musical landscape. NuJazz has evolved through the years to become one of the most popular form of dance-club music. The project is a mixture of electronic treats with analog synths as well acoustic percussions and groove samples from all over the world.

At the heart of the project is the warm and enchanting voice of Clara Simonoviez, a French singer with a timeless charm who brought the sweet and sensual nuances of her homeland to the band.

This person is seen as the ideal counterpart who gives voice to love, an enchantment that promises a lasting passion and healing from past sorrows. The narrator’s desire is intense, longing to have this person by their side for comfort and companionship.

Clara, with her soft and enveloping vocal style, recalls the elegance of icons such as Astrud Gilberto and Françoise Hardy, fusing French sweetness with tropical vibrations. She is accompanied by talented musicians, each with a deep knowledge of different styles, from 60s jazz to Brazilian sounds, to the downtempo grooves of the contemporary chill-out scene. The sound of PANAPHONIC is inspired in this new tracks by legends such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Sérgio Mendes and Stan Getz, but also integrates references to iconic bands of the 70s. The arrangements are the result of a chiselled work, where every note, every harmony and every rhythmic detail contribute to creating a unique and enveloping atmosphere. The soft and sometimes melancholic guitar lines intertwine with the refined use of analog synthesizers, vibraphone and tropical percussions, creating a rich and evocative sound palette. In addition to original songs, which tell stories of travel, sunsets and summer melancholies, the band reinterprets classics of the past with a modern sensibility and never predictable arrangements, paying homage to tradition but with an absolutely personal style.
