Rob Ray Cole’s new work is a trilogy consisting of three EPs of four tracks each, to then be collected as a complete Concept-Album, with other original tracks, different versions, remixes and bonus tracks.
The first in the series is: Into the vast wilderness, the artist builds stories steeped in desert-folk, country-blues and acid-folk sounds and invites us an emotional journey through the untamed beauty of nature.
This record is a heartfelt tribute to shadowy forests, sprawling valleys, crystal-clear lakes, and open skies that define the heart of rural America. Divided into four tracks following a seasonal path, blending gentle acoustic guitar chords with birdsong paint evocative sonic landscapes with bluesy undertones and folk melodies echoing through the mountains.
Produced with authentic instruments and rich arrangements, “ Into the vast wilderness ” is more than an album: it’s a sonic escape into an unspoiled world, an experience that invites listeners to reconnect with the timeless and wild beauty of nature.
Mexican Bride
A group of friends packed their van in sunny California, heading south to celebrate the wedding of their best friend, who had fallen in love with and married a Mexican princess. Crossing the border, they marveled at the vibrant landscapes and traditions before stopping for the night in a dense forest. Around crackling campfires, they shared stories under the starlit sky, even as the eerie howls of wolves and the rustling of bears in the shadows kept them on edge. At dawn, their laughter and fellowship proved unshaken, ready to honor love amidst the magical union of cultures.
Wirling Spiral
A band of pals embarked on a trek across the vast desert, their only guide the fading warmth of the sun. As night fell, the sky erupted into a dazzling tapestry of stars, casting an ethereal glow over the sand. Sitting in silence, they felt the cosmos’ immensity pressing on their souls, drawing them into a spiraling meditation on existence and infinity. Their breaths slowed in unison, hearts and minds intertwined with the eternal rhythm of the universe. When they finally rose, they felt not separate, but as stardust connected to the boundless expanse above. The tone deepens with the meditative where harmonicas and steel guitars capture the allure of summer nights. The penultimate track, explores the vastness of landscapes at sunset, with arrangements blending folk and country roots.
Silent Meadows
Two lovers awoke in a meadow so serene it felt like stepping out of a dream, the air heavy with a magical silence. Bathed in soft golden light, time seemed to dissolve around them, drawing them into a warm, boundless hyperspace. The vibrations of the universe pulsed through their hearts, uniting their souls in a rhythm older than the stars. Entranced, they wandered hand in hand, shedding fears and doubts like fallen leaves. In this golden realm, they glimpsed the infinite and felt themselves purified by its embrace. Awareness blossomed—a love not just for each other but for all creation. Together, they returned, carrying the essence of a new cosmic harmony in their hearts. The EP concludes with an ode to the bond between humanity and nature, leaving the listener with a sense of peace and renewal.
Chirping Chant
The album evolves with a slow and intimate track inspired by the serenity of the woods, before bursting into the contagious joy of a celebration of adventure under endless skies.
