IF YOU WANT IT TOO: String Quartet and Voice – Pop-cinematic piece with an epic and dramatic atmosphere at the same time: a mix made possible by the omnipresent repeated/ostinatos of the strings, in contrast with a very large and singable main theme to the voice. The text recalls ancient and lost emotions of a now divided couple of lovers, in the light of the new maturity acquired in adulthood: thus emerges the touching desire for a new story together, no longer fueled only by the passionate instinctive youth but by the real awareness of what it really means to love another person.
“In this piece the quartet abandons the more classic accompaniment function to become a compact rhythmic session that supports the voice, simulating a rock band. The emotion is limitless”.
PARALLEL UNIVERSE: String Quartet – Composition with a sidereal flavour, constantly balanced between major and minor keys. The accounting of the theme, combined with the pizzicati first and the accompanying quatrains then, generates a contrapuntal effect of classicist origin. In the finale, the minor chord with the ninth suspended in song reveals a final impulse towards a horizon that will never be reached, abandoning the listener to the incomprehensible and boundless charm of the profound Universe.
