In your mind
The strings press on and give a rhythmically complex impulse to the piece which instead blossoms into a very airy and conversational song. While the second violin stands out for its complexity with rhythmic and repetitive scales, a strong and very energetic counterpoint almost reminds us of a non-stop race towards a destination that remains unknown. As stated in the title “everything is in our mind” and probably in performing this piece each of the musicians gave voice to their own inner world.
Looking for another Sun
This is the funniest and most engaging song on the album. The distinctly imitative strings of tango accompany a voice that in a captivating tone invites us towards this dance. The text, however, carries a profound and socially critical message, declaring in almost whispered melismas that the body has become more important than the soul. The bow stroke and the short glissandi within the string phrases underline a sensuality of a rhythm that remains irresistible.
Sweet Dreams
It is no coincidence that an iconic song from the 80s can create an equally enveloping and mysterious atmosphere in a quartet version. The synthetic sounds of the base replaced by the deep and scratchy draw of the strings supports a melody known to all of us. The main theme is almost circular, this is in fact a piece that could never end, leaving us suspended in this bass ride which with the cello and viola seems even more gothic than the original; we like to imagine that the musicians also dedicated a track of their album to the timeless dance floor.
Infinity
This piece has the character of a wave which, when repeated, brings with it the movement of the strings. first the theme is expressed clearly and then it is enveloped by the four instruments and brought to a fullness that involves us. The pizzicato is a further confirmation of how varied a theme exposed by the strings can be; for the performers this is very challenging as a constant search for interpretation and colors emerges in this perpetual thematic chase.

Additional Musicians:
Livia Reali is a young singer born in Rome, born in 1997. She grew up in a family of musicians and was passionate about classical music from an early age, she began studying piano at the age of 6. She attended the “G. Briccialdi” conservatory in Terni and then continued her studies individually. Under the great support of her family, at the age of 15 she began taking opera singing lessons. Accompanying her in her studies is her paternal aunt, a renowned teacher and opera singer, with whom she shares a long path of improvement. She has been a historic member of the “Novarmonia Chorale” of Rome since 2010 as a soprano. Her collaboration with the Sharareh quartet that began in 2020 represents her first real experience as a solo singer.
